Overhead Crane, Fall Arrest, & Rigging Training

Training is key to a safe and functional workplace. There are many hazards, dangers, that can cause injury and even unfortunately death. OSHA states that personnel are to be trained to understand these dangers and understand the proper way to use the equipment to limit these dangers. Training of the proper use also keeps your equipment running as operator error is the leading cause to equipment failure.

Q2 Engineered offers a variety of training options when it comes to the material handling industry. We also extend beyond just the training of overhead crane system. Rigging and fall arrest protection trainings are also required training your staff needs to understand

Here at Q2 Engineered Systems and Technology, we offer training from operators initial trainings to the refresher courses every 2-3 years. We also will work directly with individual operators on a one-on-one base as needed

​Overhead Crane Training

 

~ Training will illustrate the hazards and dangers to overhead crane systems

~ Understanding the difference between overhead crane systems

~ Understanding the difference between components and hoisting systems

~ Understanding of controls, electrical systems, and the internal operations

~ Proper ways to lift and move your workload

~ The damage to be caused to the overhead from improper use and the dangers that damage will create

~ Showing of the results to failures of overheads from improper use

~ Proper daily/shift inspections

~ Provide overview of OSHA standards and requirements

~ Review the "do's and do not's" with overhead lifting

​Fall Arrest Training

~ Training will illustrate the hazards and dangers to elevated work spaces

Understanding the difference between anchor point components and options

~ Understanding the difference in body arrest harnesses and their lanyard options 

~ Show the proper ways to tie off and how to transfer from different platforms or levels

~ Train with proper ways to take care of your personal arrest harnesses system

~ The damage to be caused from improper use and the dangers that damage will create

~ Showing of the results to failures of arrest systems and/or components from improper use

~ Proper inspections of equipment prior to use

~ Proper way to wear your personal fall arrest harness

~ Provide overview of OSHA standards and requirements​​

​Rigging Training

~ Training in the different types of rigging

~ Understanding of the proper rigging needed for different types of use

~ Load rating and how to figure the proper load on your individual rigging componets

~ Proper care to all rigging and devices

~ Proper ways to inspection your rigging prior to each use
